One of our TenBridge team values is curiosity. We live that value by embracing personal and professional growth through learning, improving, mentoring, and innovating. Continuing education is a priority for us, both individually and as a team, and we strive to go above and beyond.
Over my past six years at TenBridge Partners, there have been plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and improve. Along the way, I have benefited from the mentorship of an incredible team and worked alongside them to find new ways to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
You probably know me as the person who helps gather information when we’re creating or updating your financial plan. Building relationships with clients and serving as a trusted point of contact is one of my favorite parts of the job. Behind the scenes, I work closely with our financial planners, Erik and Sirra, helping refine and strengthen each plan, so it reflects your unique story.
Living out our value of curiosity, and with the support and leadership of the TenBridge team, I’ve earned several professional credentials through self-directed study and examination. These include the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination), the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional℠ (FPQP®) designation, and my Health and Life Insurance Producer licenses. As you can probably tell, throughout my professional career I am a life-long learner and aim to challenge myself and build my skills continuously. Curiosity has always come naturally to me. I love growing through new experiences and adapting to new challenges.
So, what is next?
Right now, I’m working toward earning my CFP® certification and expanding my knowledge of comprehensive financial planning. That’s something worth sharing because we’re serious about what we do and about serving our clients well. This next step will help me bring even more value to the people and families we work with.
One of the best parts of this journey is being able to pursue it with a scholarship cohort. The Financial Advisor Futures Scholarship for CFP® Certification supports individuals from underrepresented groups who are working toward CFP® certification. Created by The College for Financial Planning®, the scholarship aims to address long-standing disparities within the profession and help build a more representative financial planning community.
According to the CFP Board, women make up only 24% of CFP® professionals in the United States. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program, thankful for the support of the TenBridge Partners team, and especially appreciative of trailblazers like Sirra who continue to help pave the way.
Progress is already underway. By staying focused and sticking to my plan, I’ve completed the first two of the seven required CFP® certification courses. After the coursework is finished, the next step will be the comprehensive certification exam, which measures the ability to apply financial planning knowledge to real-world situations. My goal is to complete the education program and exam preparation within the next two years.
At the end of the day, all of this is about serving you and our team even better. Curiosity, dedication, and a lot of hard work will help get me there, and I’m excited to continue growing alongside the TenBridge team and the clients we serve.
